KINGS of LEON
kicked off the festivities as we made our way through
a labyrinth maze of fence into the Great Lawn of Central Park.
The band sounded incredible, we could see and hear them on projection
screens and speakers as we proceeded into the main area of the Lawn.

Your humble Global Citizen and narrator, David Barish.

Global Citizen, Fred Barish was there to take action.

Elvis Costello, surprised and regaled us with a soulful rendition of
"Peace, Love and Understanding".

Global Citizen Gemma Sherry

Global Citizen's taking action, earning tickets and seeing an impact.

Bono urged the crowd to take positive action and graciously
introduced Alicia Keys.

Alicia Keys was poetic, energetic and "on point."
She reminded the audience to show the world your true colors
by becoming and being Global Citizens.

A Global Citizen reminding us of those who came before.

As the Sunset behind the skyscrapers we were 60,000 strong.
We watched videos of women, African children and listened to
 the organizers of the GlobalPovertyProject.

Tim Diamond of Cotton On Foundation spoke on education,
health, women's equality, global partnerships and then
introduced John Mayer to a roaring ovation.
.

John Mayer came out and mesmerized the audience.

Mayer payed homage to the Grateful Dead with a ripping
rendition of "Going Down the Road".

Will I AM, came out and spoke about recycling.

He told us that his suit was made of recycled water bottles.

Bono came out and worked the crowd into a complete frenzy.
The Stevie Wonder Band playing a funky beat, behind Bono
and just when we thought Bono was about to introduce Stevie,
he reiterated some other fact about Stevie Wonder and kept us in suspense.

Bono finally led Stevie Wonder out to a screaming, standing ovation.

Stevie Wonder went into action to a Massive dancing crowd.

Stevie played for about thirty minuets and the introduced
the Secretary General of the UN whom he called a real Rock Star.

Secretary General of the UN said, "the United Nations begins
with U and me." He said he was in support of Global Citizen.

Stevie Wonder blew everyone away, even the Police were dancing.
