BIG APPS NYC 2013 with Mayor Mike Bloomberg

BIG APPS Fourth Annual Award Ceremony took place
June 20, 2013, at The IAC Building, 555 West 18th street, NYC.
The lucrative monetary awards were handed out to winners,
by Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

$150,000 in Prize Money awarded to winning Applications
Which use City, Private and Crowdsourced Data to Solve Critical City
Challenges. 



The Mayor made his way into the hall of the IAC flanked
by his Body Guards and BIG APPS Officials.


Then the Mayor stopped, had a few bites of the delicious Tortilla chips,
with Guacamole and spoke with a few individuals.






I managed to snap this photo of our 108th Mayor of NYC.
He's extremely amiable, articulate and one of the nicest Billionaires,
I've had the pleasure to meet. 


The Mayor then stepped up to the podium and spoke to eager crowd.


Mayor Bloomberg had the audience eating out of his hand.




Then it was time to announce the winners.


The Grand Prize Winner, was Healthy Out, for Best Healthy Living App.
The Healthy Out app makes it easy for New Yorkers to find
healthy eating options at nearby restaurants,
customized to their dietary needs and preferences.
