GALA ITALIA 2011 @ Marriott Marquis by David Barish

Wine and food tasting were the quintessential elements of Gala Italia. The Broadway Ballroom of New York's Marriott Marquis was fashionably suited for the Bacchian event.

A Creme Brulee, Chocolate Mousse, to eat and haunt your waistline.

Prepared by Chef Simone Bonelli of GIANO.
The GALA included fine cuisine from top NY Restaurants. GIANO, at 126 E. 7th street, NYC, served a Squid with Black Ink Caviar and Beef Tongue, Salsa Verde.

A sea of
Red, White and Rosé wines, with bubbly Prosecco's, to tantalize the palate, were seemingly in never ending supply. Nobel wines that astound the senses, for we who relish and admire this time honored, art form. Below Arianna Bisacchi, of Montecchio, www.lapapessa.com

I pay homage to the Bellenda's Proseccos, with their distinct, effervescent fruitiness. The Fattoria di Montecchio's, Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Reserva and their Prize Winning, Pietracupa. The Marco Maci's 1909 and the "Fra Diavolo" Primitivo, were all my favorites.

GUSTO, at 60 Greenwhich Ave. NYC, was on hand, to serve up authentic, regional Italian dishes, classic fresh ingredients and homemade infusions, Molte Delisioso.

GALA ITALIA 2011- Hosted enjoyable entertainment, a line of
exceptional, Italian wines, delicious food, fashions and fine art.

Signore Lucio Caputo was in attendance, giving interviews and mingling with Celebrities, he is the founder of GALA ITALIA.
